![]() ![]() Sending your dog for our Board & Train is similar to sending your kid to Summer camp - you may not be there with them, but you can rest assured that your SideKick is getting personalized, one-on-one attention with a professional trainer! We board a maximum of two dogs at a time to optimize the time spent with your dog and customize their experience to your goals and family! Your dog becomes one of our trainer's own during their stay! They will get lots of affection, playtime, daily walks or hikes, multiple small training sessions throughout each day, and lots of physical and mental stimulation. (Dogs do NOT attend the first week of class)Ĭlass size is limited to 4 dogs per class and each dog must be 6 months or older in age.Įach dog is required to be up-to-date on vaccinations (Rabies, DHPP and Bordetella).Board & Train is a unique service that SideKick Dog Training is proud to offer! It is also a group class, so, if your dog generally needs a lot of space to be comfortable and keep their cool around other dogs and people, this class may not be for your dog.įocus & Control is a 6 week class, meeting every week at the same time for approximately 60 minutes. Note: This class is NOT intended for dogs who have a bite history with other dogs or people. This is a great class for dogs 6 months and older who struggle to concentrate in distracting environments! It’s a class that utilizes strategies and exercises from the series of Control Unleashed books written by trainer Leslie McDevitt and the goal is to teach you and your dog how to relax, focus, and work with you! Class size is kept small to help each dog succeed and so that you and your dog can receive more individual attention! Prong collars, choke chains, and other shock/e-collars are not permitted in this class.Ĭlass fees are non-refundable once class has begun.Ĭhildren are welcome to join class however, they should not be distracting to their dog or anyone else in class and the leash should be held by someone over the age of 12 years at all times. This is a positive reinforcement-based training class. This class is intended for dogs older than 12 weeks (or 3 months at the start of class) it covers the foundation behaviors we look for and want to teach our dogs for a happy household, happy dog, and happy human! We cover basic dog manners cues like Sit, Down, Leave It, Drop It, leash walking skills, Recalls, and more! This class is designed for dogs with little or no previous training since it starts from scratch with most behaviors however, if your dog already has some skills, it can be a great class to review the basics in a public and mildly distracting setting!
